The New red for 2008 is called "Crystal Red" it is brighter than the "Infra Red"

                                                      Xirallic flake/pigment which is actually aluminum oxide crystals coated 
                                                       with titanium dioxide (TiO2).
  
                                                     
                                                       
The advantage of this type of flake is that it is very regular & clean - it is
                                                        actually a crystal that is "grown"  as opposed to mica flakes which are 
                                                        natural & have impurities.  So the light reflection is very uniform &
                                                        pure, giving it more sparkle & lustre than traditional pigments.

                                                        The platelets are produced synthetically using a new crystallization process
                                                        The fine grain size  (10-30 µm) and a narrow particle size distribution                                                               gurantee a  problem-free implementation in most  applications.
